Brian D. Gibbs

Financial Advisor

Brian D. Gibbs has spent more than forty years helping families discover, define and achieve their true financial objectives. He combines a rich educational background and practical insight gained in retirement planning, estate planning, real estate and mortgage banking, tax planning, business and executive compensation and insurance planning. Brian has a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial and Estate Planning. He is a Retirement Income Certified Professional, and has licenses in real estate and insurance.

Earlier in his career, Brian was also a licensed securities principal (Series 7,24) and investment banker. He invested in and observed over 53 distinct categories of investments and financial strategies. In other words he has “been there and done that”. He observed the mixed results that risk-based investments produced over time. These experiences taught him what works and what does not work in the real world. He now uses these experiences and wisdom gained to protect his clients’ assets and improve their financial pictures as a focused retirement and charitable planner.

From over four decades of experience in the financial industry, Brian has carefully incorporated his wisdom, skill and financial strategies into Heritage Retirement Advisors, to help preserve and grow his client’s wealth. He is a proponent of helping clients reduce or eliminate transfer costs and is very proficient at recognizing opportunities to reduce client’s taxes, along with their CPA or accountant, attorney and other trusted advisors.

Brian enjoys educating and teaching financial principles and strategies. He has presented seminars for over thirty years to clients, civic, government and corporate groups on a number of subjects including retirement planning, the economy, tax planning, real estate and financing strategies, charitable gifting and more.

In his personal life, Brian enjoys participating in golf, tennis, snow and water sports. His passions also include art, music, cultural events and visiting the great outdoors with family and friends. He is most grateful for his greatest treasures of all, his wife of 43 years, Shawna, and their four children and wonderful grandchildren.
